I’m always on the look out for Hobby Shops and Gunpla whilst I’m on holiday, and on my recent trip to Kota Kinabalu (aka Borneo) I managed to visit the main hobby shop in town.

This shop was located on the ground floor in the Star City mall in the heart of Kota Kinabalu.

Despite being pretty small, the shop is packed full with kits right up to the ceiling. Prices were slightly higher than places I visited in KL. A Veetoo Gundam was 68MYR here as opposed to 55MYR in KL, but this was the only shop in town, so I guess they can afford to charge slightly higher.
What impressed me most was the abundance of P-Bandai kits, throughout this trip to Malaysia they definately had the most variety. There were plenty of HG Premium Bandai kits, and they even had an MG Astray Noir (which I snapped up) and a GM Dominance. On the downside I don’t think I saw any Frame Arms Girls or Megami Device kits.
There was also a huge stack of F90’s and a MG Banshee Norn Final Battle, kits which I did not encounter again for the rest of my trip.
